HerMoneyHerPower

As lead designer, I was responsible for translating the campaign message into a cohesive visual language. The logo, set in Seventies, a retro-inspired typeface, is a nod to the vintage aesthetics embraced by Gen-Z and Millennials. It is complemented by symbolic elements, a vibrant neon colour palette and the Rafaella typeface; with its decorative flair, to add a layer of elegance. A variety of assets were made across social media, prints, billboards, website banners, and merchandise to maximise impact, encourage interaction and conversation at every touchpoint. Paired with relatable stories and imagery of women in financial and professional spaces, these design elements formed a powerful visual identity statement for the #HerMoneyHerPower campaign.

To amplify the #HerMoneyHerPower message across Nigeria, over 60 Influencers/thought leaders were engaged, supported by 250+ press mentions, 28 billboards, and content in 4 languages across 8 cities in ****traditional and digital media. Millions of Nigerians resonated with the message even further when they engaged with the campaign during the #HerMoneyHerPower segment on Africa’s Most Watched Reality Show, Big Brother Naija. With 1 billion impressions and over 3 million engagements, the campaign saw widespread success, sparked conversations and inspired action as women engaged with the content and shared their financial journeys.

Our objective was to gain insight into Generation Z – a demographic with diverse interests shaped by influences such as social media, colourful pop culture, and global issues like capitalism, activism, and climate change. They embrace life unapologetically and with a rebellious spirit, often gravitating towards a visually rich language that is both nostalgic and raw.
